Everyone has a story to tell. Some use their voices, some use the written word, and others paint. Artist Craig Mooney is a true storyteller. However, it is not just his story he wants to tell; it is just as much about nudging and reminding us of our own.
“It’s that feeling found when spending time with a painting, and suddenly, it captures you," shares Mooney. "It holds on, and you are there, even if only for a while. It is more than just seeing it; it is feeling it.”

Whether it's a city street or an ocean view, the subject makes it familiar; the colors draw you in, and the detail makes you remember.
“I didn't want anything to be simple or typical," explains Mooney. "I wanted to create a striking visual but still embed a story and a cinematic element in each composition.”

Each of us holds that special sunset, that moment from an epic hike, or just a pastoral scene that we swear we have been there. We share so many scenes without even knowing. Mooney reminds us of that.
“Ironically, one way to tell a story is to keep things ambiguous," Mooney says. "There is not too much detail. It's not specific, but familiar, and that is intentional.”
