Ingunn Milla Joergensen | A Jar of Sunshine | Oil | 20" X 20" | $1900
Ingunn Milla Joergensen has a huge garden with a potting shed; painting this passion gives her great joy.
“For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with flowers. My grandfather gave me a tiny patch in his garden when I was five, and I have been growing plants and flowers ever since.”

“Joergensen's show this year is a bit quieter than usual. There are no big vistas, no endless views. There is just a need to stay close, earthy, and focus on growth and new life. With this, her white geraniums are a subtle star in the show.
“My white geraniums—one can call it an obsession. I always have, always will….., and the collection is growing.”
Even the promise of flowers excites Joergensen.
"When it's the beginning of spring, I can't help but feel the intense joy of those first forced branches in my kitchen when there were still patches of snow outside my window in early March."
No matter the bloom, the place, or the season, she finds her sense of peace in the flowers.
“I can’t think of anything more calming for the soul than a meadow filled with wispy grasses and a few wildflowers tucked in.”
Come walk amongst her flowers. Joergensen's solo summer show is open every day at 10 am and runs until July 17.
